When we say Roche Bros. is a better way to shop, we prove it in every aisle, every department, with every visit you make to Roche Bros.

Pat and Bud Roche opened their first store in 1952 in Roslindale, MA. This first meat and produce store expanded in 1957 to include a grocery department. From there, the company began to grow with the opening of a store in Needham in 1959 and in West Roxbury in 1967. The growth continued with a new store in Westwood in 1970, which was the first to incorporate a “department” concept of merchandising, adding a bakery, florist, and a restaurant to make shopping more enjoyable. By 1981, Roche Bros. had expanded to five stores, opening the Natick store in 1974 and the Wellesley store in 1981.

In 2014, Roche Bros. launched a new neighborhood market concept by the name of Brothers Marketplace. With five locations and counting, Brothers Marketplace features handpicked selections of fresh meat, seafood and produce, local and artisanal products, delicious prepared meals, and grocery essentials. Find out more at brothers-marketplace.com. Today, Roche Bros. has grown and become one of the most distinguished supermarkets in Massachusetts. We will continue to grow and change with the times, but never at the expense of service and quality. Our customers expect the highest quality products along with outstanding customer service. We rely on the efforts of each of our associates to help meet our customers’ expectations.

In 2021, Roche Bros. will be launching a brand-new location in Watertown with more information coming soon!

Roche Bros. is currently owned and operated by second-generation brothers Rick and Ed Roche. We will always continue to operate as a locally owned, family company, serving our loyal customers.
