It often happens that products that are readily available on the shelves, on food sold in most grocery stores, have to be recalled for various reasons. In the case of physical products it's mostly a question of some kind of hazard that could be caused by a defectuous batch (check the serial number!) or a design flaw. In the case of food it's mostly about a possible contamination, or a labelling issue like unspecified allergens.
