In 1991, in a small store in East San José, a new concept was born that would impact the lives of many people and would go far beyond establishing a new model for grocery shopping.
That year, the vision of an immigrant who had com to this country with his wife and children came to life and changed forever what people would think of Latino supermarkets in Northern California. That is when Mi Pueblo Food Center was founded.
Our culture is so rich and because we are so proud of who we are and what we have to offer, we will never let any tradition die in neglect.
Among them, Mi Pueblo celebrates “El Dia de los Santos Reyes” baking the traditional “Rosca de Reyes”, warm and made with the original recipe. That day, we invite the community to continue celebrating this tradition with us.
We also celebrate Valentine’s Day, Lent, Children’s Day, Cinco de Mayo, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Independence of Mexico, Day of the Death, Day of our Virgin of Guadalupe, Christmas, New Year, and many more.
